Winter 2015 Poster, designed by Nicholas Minh Le

Earlier this quarter, I observed one of the Contempo Flux rehearsals. The music I heard was extremely textural and rhythmic. I designed the poster to emphasize those qualities. I played with the scale of the typography to convey different textures and voices in the music. I created the undulating form of the large text and played with the orientation of the smaller text to convey movement. I used Maya, a 3D modeling and animation software, to generate the title text. 

I was impressed by what I had heard during the rehearsal and look forward to attending the concert.
