For the Fall 2022 UCLA FLUX poster, I chose a gradient that reflects the way music both quickly and gradually shifts between emotions. Like gradients shifting between colors, music reveals the in-between stages of emotion; feelings that are not black and white but rather, fluid and kinetic. This is also reflected in the letterforms of the main title, where the letters bulge and grow into and out of each other.
