2024 Spring Poster by Lysander Xu

Lysander Xu is a third year Design | Media Art student at UCLA. His work spans across many mediums, but ultimately focuses on concepts of ritual and biology. The Spring 2024 poster distorts the typography in "FLUX" to create asemic patterns, a reflection on how music is meticulously translated by musicians to be understood by audiences who may not be able to read sheet music themselves. The unique interpretations of individual listeners adds another layer of decoding, likening the concert experience to a Rorschach test.
