Spring 2016 Poster, designed by Stefanie Tam

I find that listening to this contemporary classical music replicates a sense of one finding his/her way through an unexplored plane of existence-- it is not a place of familiarity, and as each piece progresses, the scene is pieced together in an abstract way, as there is a creation of distinguishably spacial sounds.  There's a level of thrill in every piece that makes your ears feel as though they're darting back and forth, much like one's eyes in a very visually detailed environment. It will bring you to a new realm, a new dimension, and, when finally pieced together, it creates the unexpected and redefines our preconception of beauty in music.
I translated this to design by having an almost illegible, but still recognizable title for "Contempo Flux," following a slightly wild path that has many twists and turns.  As one follows the lines, shapes begin to form and rise from the path, creating an ultimately more intricate, yet unexpectedly beautiful scene.
