Fall 2015 Poster - designed by Caroline Park, UCLA Department of Design | Media Arts

"Whimsy comes from precision," was a comment made by Gloria Cheng during a rehearsal that resonated with me and eventually became the mantra for the development of the Fall 2015 poster. The process was divided primarily into two acts where first I set parameters for myself by adapting rules of a typography workshop assignment introduced by Helmut Schmid. After this, I allowed more intuition to come into play and illustrated the fluid shapes that float around the static type. It was a pleasure designing for Contempo Flux and I look forward to the final performance."
