What is sound? Is all sound music or is all music sound? Are words
music, or does music create an image in your head, like a happy dog in a
creek, or strange person's face? I didn't think about any of those
things when I made this poster. I felt the pulsations of the universe as
they thrust into me through the music, combining with my essential
being. In this way, the letters of FLUX combine together and twist
around each other in organic shapes. they are flexible and amorphous,
yet still retain the recognizable shape of their letter. The pieces
played in this concert move about and morph noisily, yet one can always
find themselves within the the abstract, recognizable essence of the
piece as it blends from one part to the next."
